A special representative for children is appointed when there is reason to believe that a crime has been committed against someone under the age of 18 or when the suspect is the child’s guardian, or where it can be assumed that the guardian, through his relationship with the suspect, will not take advantage of the child’s right.
As a special representative for children, we safeguard the child’s interests and assume the responsibility of the guardians in parts related to the preliminary investigation and trial and can, for example, give permission to the police to question the child in an appropriate manner.
As a special representative, we also assist the child with claim of compensation at the court hearing.
Everyone at the law firm undertakes assignments as a special representative for children.
The legal cost of the special representative for children are reimbursed by the State.
